About Us

Tektonics Systems is a data centre and critical-infrastructure technology company focused on visibility, reliability, and control. We design, build, and integrate solutions that connect real-world equipment to real-time intelligence—so operators can detect issues early, respond faster, and keep environments stable and secure.

We operate at the intersection of hardware, software, and operations. That means we don’t just install devices—we engineer complete, working systems: sensors and gateways at the edge, secure connectivity, clear alerting workflows, dashboards, reporting, and ongoing support. Our work is built for the realities of mission-critical environments: noisy signal paths, legacy equipment, strict uptime requirements, and distributed sites that need simple, dependable operations.

With over 15 years of combined experience across IT management, software engineering, and data centre environments, we understand how decisions made in design and integration directly impact uptime, cost, compliance, and operational load. Our guiding belief is simple:

Infrastructure should speak.
When equipment can report its status in a clear and actionable way, teams move from firefighting to proactive management.

What We Do

Data Centre Infrastructure & Monitoring

We help organisations build and modernise server rooms and data centres with solutions that protect against both external threats and internal failures. Our deployments typically include:

  • Environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, leaks, airflow, smoke, cabinet status)
  • Physical security integration (door sensors, access events, incident visibility)
  • Power and resilience visibility (UPS events, PDU monitoring, metering, alarms)
  • Alerting and escalation aligned to operational workflows (on-call, duty engineers, facilities)

Systems Integration & Automation

Most critical environments are a mix of new and legacy equipment. We specialise in bridging systems—so your monitoring platform reflects reality:

  • Integrating dry contacts, sensors, gateways, meters, and legacy alarm panels
  • Enabling telemetry and alarms over protocols such as SNMP / Modbus / MQTT
  • Creating event pipelines that route alerts to the right people, fast, with traceability

Management Software & Visibility

We implement and build tooling that turns raw signals into operational insight:

  • Dashboards and reporting (what happened, where, when, impact)
  • Trend and capacity visibility (what’s changing, what’s at risk)
  • Asset and configuration visibility (what you have, where it is, how it’s connected)
  • Multi-site management patterns for distributed estates

Our Journey

2022/Identifying the Visibility Gap

Tektonics Systems is born

Tektonics Systems was founded in 2022 with a clear observation:
many organisations were operating mission-critical infrastructure with limited real-time visibility, fragmented tooling, and reactive operational processes.

Early engagements focused on understanding how infrastructure actually fails in the field—often silently—and how teams respond under pressure. Rather than pursuing abstract platforms, the company prioritised practical engineering, hands-on integration, and solutions that could operate reliably in constrained environments.

This period laid the foundation for Tektonics’ core philosophy:
infrastructure should speak clearly, reliably, and in a way operators can act on immediately.

2023/Giving Legacy Systems a Voice

Dry Contact Modules Launched

In 2023, Tektonics launched its first hardware product: Tektonics Dry Contact Modules.

The goal was to solve a widespread but overlooked problem—large volumes of legacy and physical infrastructure generate alarms but have no native IP telemetry. Replacing this equipment was often impractical or cost-prohibitive.

The Dry Contact Modules enabled organisations to:

  • Digitise existing alarm signals and physical states
  • Monitor doors, fire panels, leak detection, generators, UPS relays, and BMS outputs
  • Integrate legacy infrastructure into modern monitoring workflows

This milestone established Tektonics as a company focused on augmenting existing infrastructure, not forcing wholesale replacement.

2023/Reliable Alerting First

Notification Gateway (SMS)

In 2023, Tektonics introduced the Notification Gateway, starting with SMS-only alerting.

Rather than launching with multiple channels, the focus was reliability. SMS was chosen because it:

  • Works in low-bandwidth and remote environments
  • Requires no smartphone apps or data services
  • Remains one of the most dependable last-resort communication methods

The Notification Gateway translated infrastructure events into clear, concise, actionable alerts, ensuring that when something failed, the right people were notified—quickly and consistently.

This release marked Tektonics’ transition from hardware-only solutions to a combined hardware + software ecosystem.

2024/Improving Operational Response

WhatsApp Added to the Notification Gateway

In 2024, we expanded the Notification Gateway to include WhatsApp messaging. Operational teams needed faster, clearer, and more readable alerts—especially during incidents.

WhatsApp enabled richer message formatting, better context, and improved acknowledgement workflows, while SMS remained a critical fallback. This milestone significantly improved alert effectiveness and on-call response quality.

2025/Kenya Office Opened

Regional Expansion

In 2025, Tektonics Systems opened a regional office in Kenya, extending its operational footprint to support West, East, and Central Africa.

This expansion was driven by increasing demand for:

  • On-the-ground technical support
  • Regional deployment capability
  • Faster response times across multiple countries

The Kenya office strengthened partnerships, improved delivery capability, and positioned Tektonics to support distributed, multi-site customers operating across borders and challenging environments.

2025/Standardising the Edge

Tektonics Firmware for Teltonika RUT906

In 2025, Tektonics released custom firmware for the Teltonika RUT906 platform.

As deployments scaled, it became clear that consistency at the edge was critical. The custom firmware provided:

  • A hardened, purpose-built environment for monitoring and alerting
  • Standardised configurations across sites
  • Reduced deployment time and configuration errors
  • Improved operational stability in remote and industrial environments

This milestone marked Tektonics’ evolution into edge-platform engineering, ensuring reliability not just in software, but in the full deployment stack.

2026/Bringing the Ecosystem Online

Flux Platform

In 2026, Tektonics launched Flux, the online portal for the Notification Gateway ecosystem.

Flux unified what had previously been distributed across devices and sites, providing:

  • Centralised visibility across multiple gateways and locations
  • Alert history, analytics, and auditability
  • A multi-tenant structure for customers and service providers

With Flux, Tektonics completed the ecosystem:
edge devices → alerting → central management → operational insight.
